Invitation to the charity author’s evening of writer Jānis Joņevs

The charity organization “Tavi draugi” invites you to an evening with writer Jānis Joņevs on October 16 at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the charity’s store, Ģertrūdes iela 32, Riga, with free admission.

“Tavi draugi” has launched a new tradition — author evenings, introducing writers of various genres and their creative work. The proceeds from book sales will be directed to charity projects supporting the people of Ukraine and Latvia.

During the event, Jānis Joņevs will share stories about his experiences in literature, theatre, and film, and offer a glimpse into his upcoming books. He will talk about his journey from working at an advertising agency to publishing his debut novel “Jelgava 94”, as well as his later explorations into the detective genre and other new creative territories. The author will also share his experience of four years of volunteer work supporting Ukraine.
The event will be moderated by Laura Čaupale, director and representative of the “Tavi draugi” association.

The first visitors will have the opportunity to receive Jānis Joņevs’ books “Pazudis” (published by Neputns) and “Decembris” (published by Satori) in exchange for a donation.

The series of author evenings will continue with writer Elizabete Lukšo-Ražinska on November 13 this year.

Visitors are kindly asked to confirm participation by filling out the registration form here:
