Let’s help to build a playground at Aleksandrova Primary School!
We met the staff and students of Aleksandrova this spring when, with the support of donors, we helped one of the school’s dreams come true, setting up a new greenhouse in the school garden. It is such a pleasure to see that the staff and the children will be growing their own herbs and vegetables, which will be a healthy addition to the daily menu.
We are determined to make another of Aleksandrova’s dreams come true: the school is in dire need of a safe, beautiful and functional playground that is suitable for children of different ages and also for children with special needs. It doesn’t take much to have fun. Just colours, laughter and being together!
At the moment, old metal swings sway sadly in the wind in the school yard, hopscotchhas been drawn with a piece of chalk on the asphalt, and a tyre “caterpillar“, made by the school staff from old tyres, is the pupils’ playground.
In cooperation with laukumi.lv , we have found the perfect playground for the school’s needs. We invite you to help us make the children’s dream come true and donate to help us raise the necessary amount: EUR 8865.50. Together we are a power!
*Aleksandrova Primary School is an institution founded by the Municipality of Krāslava, where about 90 children of different ages attend special primary education programmes for pupils with mental disabilities (A, B and C level). The association Tavi Draugi has been supporting the school since 2023 with food, clothing, hygieneand household goods deliveries.
