“Lidl” donates €15,000 to “Tavi draugi”

Retailer Lidl Latvija is pleased to donate €15,000 to the association Tavi draugi, continuing a long-term cooperation and supporting the association’s work to help people throughout Latvia and ensure the prompt delivery of donations where they are needed most. The donation was made during the charity concert of the initiative “Schools for Victory,” which on February 19 gathered students from across Latvia and supporters of the association Tavi draugi at the Angārs Concert Hall in Riga.
“We have been cooperating with the association Tavi draugi for the third year already and are pleased to continue providing support, both by donating financial resources and by supplying food and other goods. Every donation is a confirmation of responsible action, care for everyday needs, and unity,” says Antra Birzule, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Lidl Latvija.
The generous financial donation of €15,000 from Lidl Latvija will be used to ensure the logistics process of delivering donations across Latvia. Ulvis Noviks, Head of the association Tavi draugi, says: “The financial resources will make it possible to promptly deliver donations to the residents of Latvia who need support the most and to the institutions we cooperate with — crisis centers, shelters, nursing homes, special primary schools, kindergartens, orphanages, and others — thereby helping to improve the daily lives and quality of life of Latvia’s residents.”
“We are grateful to Lidl Latvija for its donations and many years of tireless support of our association’s charitable work. This is a significant contribution — Lidl Latvija’s donations are highly anticipated throughout Latvia, and we also regularly deliver them to residents of Ukraine,” notes Ulvis Noviks.
With this support, Lidl Latvija and the association Tavi draugi continue to strengthen sustainable and long-term cooperation, bringing people together for conscious assistance and support throughout Latvia.
