“Tavi draugi” invites you to an Open Doors Day about volunteering

The charity organization “Tavi draugi” invites everyone to an Open Doors Day for volunteers this Saturday, October 18, from 11:00 to 14:00 at the organization’s premises in Riga, 23 Lapeņu Street. The event is open to people of all ages who wish to learn more about the charity’s work and contribute to supporting people in Latvia and Ukraine.
The Open Doors Days at “Tavi draugi” are organized within the project “Close in Heart and Everyday Life.” The first volunteer Open Doors Day took place at the end of September, bringing together several dozen participants, some of whom have already started volunteering according to their abilities and interests.
Visitors to the “Tavi draugi” Open Doors Day will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the organization’s work and active volunteers, explore the warehouse, follow the donation logistics chain, learn more about creative and cultural projects, and participate in activities such as camouflage net weaving, donation sorting, and more.
Everyone interested is invited to register for participation in the October 18 Open Doors Day by filling out the form here.
In parallel with the volunteer Open Doors Days, the project “Close in Heart and Everyday Life” also implements a support course for Ukrainian mothers in Latvia raising children with developmental disorders, as well as classes for children to develop skills and socialize. Informational support for Ukrainian civilians is also provided both in person and remotely.
The event is financially supported by the Society Integration Foundation from the funds allocated by the Latvian state budget. The press release was prepared with the financial support of the Society Integration Foundation from the Latvian state budget. The content of the material is the responsibility of the association “Tavi draugi.”
Media representatives are welcome to attend the Open Doors Day in person. Please confirm participation by October 18 via e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at +371 29337759.
