The value of one school bag = €35!

Following the call of Riga Jesus Evangelical Lutheran Congregation, we are supporting the initiative “School Bags for Ukraine” to provide essential supplies for Ukrainian pupils in Years 1–4. We invite you to donate both school bags and the items to fill them, as well as money for purchasing any missing supplies, so that each bag contains everything needed. Donations will be delivered to Cherkasy, with the Riga Jesus Evangelical Lutheran Congregation ensuring their delivery. We encourage you to help children in Ukraine start the school year with all the essentials!

Together with friends from SIXT and Travelnews.lv, we managed to deliver school bags to children in Ukraine, Cherkasy region. With everyone’s involvement, 545 backpacks were donated, helping children start the new school year and giving them extra motivation to gain knowledge at school. ?

Even a small effort, when done by many people, creates a tangible result—every contribution matters. During the trip, it became clear that none of us alone could have achieved everything, but together, with every bag, every smile, every act of practical help, we created real impact. It is like a chain reaction: one person gives their part, another joins in, a third is inspired, and suddenly what began as a small gesture becomes a movement.

This experience reminds us that contribution should not be measured by its size, but by the heart with which it is given. And when many heartfelt efforts come together, a power arises that can change lives.
