Comedians Invite to the Show “Smieklu lādiņš” at the End of April

Continuing to support Ukraine’s fight for freedom, leading Latvian comedians invite audiences to a large-scale show “Laughter Charge” on April 30 at 7:00 PM. The event will take place at the “Tower” concert hall with the goal of raising donations for Ukrainian soldiers.

During the event, audiences will be entertained with jokes and performances by Četri Brāļi (Jānis Kozlovskis, Juris Kozlovskis, Oskars Kozlovskis and Kozmens), Divas (Anete Bendika, Elīna Geida), illusionist Edžus, Jānis Kreičmanis, Kalvis Troska, Gandrīz draugi, Rūdolfs Kugrēns, Spiediens comedians, 2×2 Improvizācija, and others. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a charity auction, where comedians together with the charity organization “Tavi draugi” will offer special memorabilia in exchange for donations. Some of these items have been specially created for the “Laughter Charge” audience on the Ukrainian front line.

This year, proceeds from “Laughter Charge” and the auction will be used to purchase an off-road vehicle or minibus for a drone operator unit of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces. Vehicles are essential at the front line for transporting soldiers, evacuating the wounded, and carrying out other tasks. The organizers of “Laughter Charge,” in cooperation with the charity “Tavi draugi,” are determined to provide the necessary vehicle.

Last year, €21,467 was donated in support of Ukraine during “Laughter Charge” and its charity auction. The funds were used to purchase night vision cameras, 20 drones, and drone parts for the Ukrainian International Battalion.

Comedian and one of the organizers, Jānis Kozlovskis, emphasizes:
“The ‘Laughter Charge’ tradition continues with renewed strength—we have no reason to stop while an inhumane war is still taking place in our neighborhood. We are grateful that the equipment purchased last year is serving Ukrainian drone operators every day, but the needs at the front remain great. We invite the public to join the initiative of Latvian comedians and once again show what our values are.”

Tickets for “Laughter Charge” are available at cetribrali.lv.
