In Kuldīga, the exhibition “From Heart to Heart – Latvia for Ukraine” will be on display until March 3

Residents of Kuldīga and visitors to the city still have the opportunity until March 3 to visit the traveling exhibition “From Heart to Heart – Latvia for Ukraine”, organized by the charity association “Tavi draugi” (Your Friends), at the Kuldīga Main Library. The exhibition looks back at four years since the people of Latvia joined together in a united network to help Ukraine. It is a contemporary history of heartfelt deeds, captured in photo and video moments, as well as in unique camouflage net artworks.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the charity association “Tavi draugi” has been providing daily assistance and support to Ukrainian civilians, the army, and Ukrainians who have found refuge in Latvia. Alongside its daily work, the association continues to seek new and creative ways to engage the people of Latvia and promote a culture of donations and volunteerism in our society.
“The idea of the exhibition ‘From Heart to Heart – Latvia for Ukraine’ is to showcase what has been accomplished together over four years of war, both in the work of our volunteers and in photographs taken by Krauzevision photographer Agnese Krauze, as well as in camouflage net paintings created by well-known supporters of Ukraine. The goal of the exhibition is to thank the people of Latvia for their support and to show that by adding one heartfelt deed to another, we become a great force and a significant support for Ukraine,” says Laura Čaupale, representative of the association “Tavi draugi” and curator of the exhibition.
Sigita Irša, Head of the Services Department at the Kuldīga Main Library: “We are honored to present the charity association ‘Tavi draugi’ exhibition ‘From Heart to Heart – Latvia for Ukraine’ at the Kuldīga Main Library, highlighting the extensive heartfelt work accomplished over four years, the invaluable time invested, and the care provided. The association’s ability to tirelessly seek solutions and organize assistance for people and animals affected by the brutal war in Ukraine, for Ukrainians in Latvia, and for others in need is admirable. It is important to support the invaluable assistance provided by the association and to multiply good deeds.”
The exhibition “From Heart to Heart – Latvia for Ukraine” can be visited free of charge during the Kuldīga Main Library’s opening hours: on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
After its stay in Kuldīga, the exhibition will travel to Talsi, Baltinava, Zeltiņi, Cesvaine, Engure, and other locations across Latvia.
