The implementation of the business project will begin on December 1, 2025, and the implementation period is 12 months from the date of signing the Grant Agreement.

Business project objective:
To create opportunities for the integration and employment of Ukrainian refugees, as well as to develop social business activities that would support the implementation of charity projects.

The social goal of the project is to promote the socio-economic inclusion of Ukrainian civilians living in Latvia by providing them with opportunities to work, develop professional skills, and integrate into society through employment in a charity shop with social enterprise status.

Social benefit:
The implementation of the project will promote the well-being and independence of Ukrainian civilians, reducing the risks of social exclusion and the burden on the social assistance system. Providing job opportunities in the shop will help these individuals improve their Latvian language skills, gain work experience in Latvia, strengthen their self-confidence, and encourage active participation in public life. An additional benefit is that the shop will operate as a sustainable charity project that strengthens community solidarity and promotes the reuse of resources.

Planned results of the business project:

  1. Development of social business – provision of a work environment (premises rental).
Six lectures/seminars will be organized in the shop’s premises, held for donations, on socially relevant topics and on the experience of implementing social entrepreneurship in the charity shop.

  2. Employment and integration of Ukrainian civilians in Latvia – creation of three new jobs.
