The charity organization Tavi draugi (“Your Friends”), together with the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia, will continue the tradition of the support march “Sunflower Path” on Sunday, August 24, Ukraine’s Independence Day. The “Sunflower Path” will begin at 11:45 a.m. with a gathering at the Freedom Monument and will proceed to Kronvalds Park, concluding at 1:35 p.m. at the Taras Shevchenko Monument.
The organization Tavi draugi is organizing the “Sunflower Path” in support of Ukraine for the fourth year, honoring Ukraine and its people’s struggle for independence and freedom. Participants are invited to show their support with sunflowers and Ukrainian symbols.
Gathering for the “Sunflower Path” at the Freedom Monument will start from 11:45 a.m. The march will be opened at 12:15 p.m. by Anatolii Kutsevol, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Latvia, along with other officials, Tavi draugi chairman Ulvis Noviks, Anna Andersone, co-founder of the foundation Entrepreneurs for Peace, and Reinis Pozņaks, initiator of the Twitter Convoy.
