The event will begin with a gathering at Dome Square at 5:30 PM and will conclude with a march to the Freedom Monument.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Path of Light for Ukraine&#8221; is being held for the second year, initiated by the charity organization &#8220;Tavi Draugi&#8221; (&#8220;Your Friends&#8221;) together with like-minded supporters. All residents of Latvia are invited to join the march, bringing their own sources of light\u2014smartphones, flashlights, candles, torches, and more. \u201cWe invite everyone in Latvia to show their support and stand against the darkness. Let the light unite us and illuminate the path to Ukraine\u2019s victory!\u201d says Ulvis Noviks, the head of &#8220;Tavi Draugi.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schedule of &#8220;Path of Light for Ukraine&#8221;:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5:30 PM \u2013 Gathering at Dome Square<\/li>\n<li>6:00 PM \u2013 Opening of &#8220;Path of Light for Ukraine&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>6:05 PM \u2013 Light march from Dome Square to the Freedom Monument<\/li>\n<li>Around 6:30 PM \u2013 Conclusion at the Freedom Monument with the national anthems of Latvia and Ukraine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To continue reminding Latvian society about the war in Ukraine, its impact, and the need for ongoing support, another support event, \u201cTogether Until Victory!\u201d, will take place on Monday, February 24, near the Freedom Monument, starting at 9:00 AM. As part of this event, there will also be a donation point managed by &#8220;Tavi Draugi,&#8221; a &#8220;Messages of Peace&#8221; postcard workshop, as well as shops offering Latvian and Ukrainian souvenirs. More information about the event is available <a href=\"https:\/\/nvo.lv\/en\/zina\/support_event_for_ukraine_kopa_lidz_uzvarai_at_the_freedom_monument_on_24_february\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About &#8220;Tavi Draugi&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The charity organization &#8220;Tavi Draugi&#8221; provides coordinated humanitarian aid to Ukrainian civilians both in Latvia and Ukraine by organizing and managing voluntary contributions from Latvian residents, organizations, and companies. Before the full-scale war began, the organization primarily supported families in need within Latvia. However, since the start of the war, their focus has shifted to providing aid to Ukraine. This includes assisting Ukrainian war refugees at Latvia&#8217;s border points with Russia. The organization also continues to support Latvian residents in difficult situations and offers crisis assistance upon request.
