Continuing to support Ukraine\u2019s fight for freedom, leading Latvian comedians invite audiences to a large-scale show \u201cLaughter Charge\u201d on April 30 at 7:00 PM. The event will take place at the \u201cTower\u201d concert hall with the goal of raising donations for Ukrainian soldiers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the event, audiences will be entertained with jokes and performances by \u010cetri Br\u0101\u013ci (J\u0101nis Kozlovskis, Juris Kozlovskis, Oskars Kozlovskis and Kozmens), Divas (Anete Bendika, El\u012bna Geida), illusionist Ed\u017eus, J\u0101nis Krei\u010dmanis, Kalvis Troska, Gandr\u012bz draugi, R\u016bdolfs Kugr\u0113ns, Spiediens comedians, 2×2 Improviz\u0101cija, and others. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a charity auction, where comedians together with the charity organization \u201cTavi draugi\u201d will offer special memorabilia in exchange for donations. Some of these items have been specially created for the \u201cLaughter Charge\u201d audience on the Ukrainian front line.<\/p>\n

This year, proceeds from \u201cLaughter Charge\u201d and the auction will be used to purchase an off-road vehicle or minibus for a drone operator unit of Ukraine\u2019s Special Operations Forces. Vehicles are essential at the front line for transporting soldiers, evacuating the wounded, and carrying out other tasks. The organizers of \u201cLaughter Charge,\u201d in cooperation with the charity \u201cTavi draugi,\u201d are determined to provide the necessary vehicle.<\/p>\n

Last year, \u20ac21,467 was donated in support of Ukraine during \u201cLaughter Charge\u201d and its charity auction. The funds were used to purchase night vision cameras, 20 drones, and drone parts for the Ukrainian International Battalion.<\/p>\n

Comedian and one of the organizers, J\u0101nis Kozlovskis, emphasizes:
\u201cThe \u2018Laughter Charge\u2019 tradition continues with renewed strength\u2014we have no reason to stop while an inhumane war is still taking place in our neighborhood. We are grateful that the equipment purchased last year is serving Ukrainian drone operators every day, but the needs at the front remain great. We invite the public to join the initiative of Latvian comedians and once again show what our values are.\u201d<\/p>\n
